Angel's health problem continues

We are very much worried about Angel's health, it has deteriorated...vaginal discharge has increased. Yesterday she hardly had anything, today we went to clinic...got ultrasound of her abdomen done. Doctor said it's a case of 'PYOMETRA', it happens to female dogs due to hormonal changes. Doctor advised to continue the medicines whatever he prescribed earlier and to monitor the discharge rate. He also advised to get a vaginal swab culture done and get another ultrasound done after a week or so. Based on the next ultrasound he will decide about uterus operation.
Now I need to search about this disease on net...if anybody is aware of this disease please advise me. Is it curable without surgery?...Any medicines?...any homeopathic medicines?
